2022-09-01 19:32:01 Ex-President Donald Trump and his former longtime accounting firm have agreed to turn over some financial records to the House Oversight and Reform Committee in a deal that will end a lawsuit over their prior refusal to do so, that panel and Trump’s lawyers said.

But details of how many of those records the Mazars USA accounting firm will turn over were not included in a committee statement announcing the agreement Thursday.

The deal does not cover a separate lawsuit involving the House Ways and Means Committee, which is seeking Trump’s federal tax returns from 2015 through 2020.

Ocean heat content, global sea levels and greenhouse gas concentrations all reached record highs in 2021, according to the State of the Climate report published Wednesday.

The annual report showcases compelling scientific evidence that climate change has global impacts and shows no sign of slowing, said Rick Spinrad of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, which led the study.

arth's warming trend is continuing, with 2021 among the six warmest years since records began in the mid-to-late 1800s, the report found.

The past seven years (2015–2021) were the seven warmest years on record.

The U.S. 2-year Treasury yield topped 3.5% on Thursday, hitting its highest level since November 2007. That’s more than double the dividend yield of the S&P 500, according to Bespoke Investment Group. Bond yields move inverse of prices.

While it can be cumbersome for individuals to buy bonds, there are mutual funds and ETFs, such as the iShares 1-3 Year Treasury ETF #SHY, that can help investors gain exposure to the short end of the Treasury curve.

However, betting on Treasurys does mean investors forfeit some upside potential that comes with holding stocks. The trade could also look less attractive a few years down the line, especially for less active investors said John Luke Tyner, a portfolio manager at Aptus Capital Advisors.

2022-09-01 17:26:02 U.S. federal prosecutors asked Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, to provide extensive internal records about its anti-money laundering checks, along with communications involving its chief executive and founder Changpeng Zhao, according to a late-2020 written request seen by Reuters.

The Justice Department's money laundering section asked Binance to voluntarily hand over messages from Zhao and 12 other executives and partners on matters including the exchange's detection of illegal transactions and recruitment of U.S. customers. It also sought any company records with instructions that "documents be destroyed, altered, or removed from Binance's files" or "transferred from the United States."
