"The People that Walked in Darkness Have Seen a Great Light"

At the last minute, I was whisked away from my work in Southern California to Oregon for some private meetings. It’s a fascinating and humbling journey being a “leaf on the river,” living at the whim of a God who exists outside of time, and who orchestrates things so that I am always in the right place at the right time.

This evening I attended a small prayer gathering led by Jeff Kropf. For two hours, ten prayer warriors prayed intensely for legislators, government officials, and against evil legislation in progress. We prayed for revival in America, we prayed for Trump and Lindell, and they laid hands on me and prayed for my protection and for my family. It was a powerful and meaningful experience.

Since my journey is not merely about election reform, it makes me wonder what God is preparing me for, and what He has in store. This is a spiritual battle, and our country is experiencing a spiritual awakening. God is working in a mighty way, it is a great time to be alive, and we need our spiritual armor intact.

It particularly struck me that this anointing took place in Oregon. Of all the states I’ve been in, Oregon citizens seem to be the most oppressed. Perhaps this is a consequence of decades of all mail-in balloting. There is an amazing pall of depression and hopelessness there that is tangible.

And yet, there is a remnant meeting faithfully to pray. They are a bright candle shining in the midst of a sea of darkness where Satan reigns. Wouldn’t it be deliciously ironic if that is precisely where God began a mighty work?

After all, that would be consistent with God’s modus operandi… where the government is brazenly communist and feminized men wear hair-buns is precisely where God chooses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise… where He makes the impossible a reality.

As we were praying, a passage from Isaiah 9 kept coming to mind: “The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light.”

Kyrie eleison.
