Google Issues Warning For Billions Of Chrome UsersGoogle's Chrome browser is
under attack and its 3.2 billion users worldwide are in danger. Here is everything you need to know to stay safe.
Google confirmed the attack, the
third successful zero-day hack of its browser in 2022, in a new Chrome blog post. Google warned "that an exploit for
CVE-2022-1364 exists in the wild" which means hackers were able to breach Chrome's security and begin attacking users before the company could issue a fix.
Chrome users on all major platforms — including Windows, macOS, Linux and Android — are all vulnerable.
To protect Chrome users, Google is currently restricting information about the hack only revealing the
threat level (High), areas of exploitation and that it was discovered by Google's own Threat Analysis Group.
