Books of giants are found everywhere
Klenke's 17th-century atlas, from which images of the Tartars and Muscovites were taken, is worth looking at not only in scanned form, but also in actual size. The page format is 1.75 by 1.9m.
In Pereslavl-Zalessky there is a copy of the Gospel of enormous size. For people of our stature (and we are told that the population has grown considerably in stature over the past centuries, thanks to nutrition and comfortable living conditions), such a weight is prohibitive even for weightlifters.
