North-eastern China, less than 200 miles from inner Mongolia, is home to one of the oldest known pyramids in the world. This ancient step pyramid was created by the Hunshan culture using what appears to be stone and clay. Although this magnificent creation was built between 4,700 and 2,900 B.C., the exact date of its construction is currently unknown.
