Look from afar at the 18th-century Shepherd's Monument in Staffordshire, Britain, and you might mistake it for a sculptural reproduction of Nicolas Poussin's famous painting The Arcadian Shepherds. But look closer and you'll notice a strange sequence of letters DOUOSVAVVM, a code that hasn't been deciphered for over 250 years.
