2021-09-01 12:15:33 Following her arrest for incitement yesterday and bail hearing today, Monica from Reignite Democracy Australia has declined to sign a bail order outlining bail conditions that her solicitor referred to as "some of the most onerous conditions he had ever seen and that some may have even been unconstitutional in their effect". She is likely to be in custody for as long as 4-6 weeks.

Bail conditions included barring her from publishing any material that could be perceived as inciting breaches of health orders. Monica was also ordered to remove any material inciting opposition to Victoria's c.onvid restrictions within 48 hours, and the court imposed a 7pm - 6am curfew. Charges relate to protests held in Melbourne on August 11th and 21st this year.

Monica is now a political prisoner, pure and simple. It is outrageous that this has occurred in what used to be considered a free country.

2021-09-01 06:54:31 Chairman Dan has kindly provided an update on proposed changes to Victoria's draconian c.onvid restrictions.

- Playgrounds to open from Friday, but only to under 12s accompanied by one carer, who is not permitted to remove their mask to eat or drink. Oh yes, and they'll need to check in using QR codes too .

- From September 23, a 70% v.ax rate will mean daily exercise time will be increased to 3 hours and the plebs will be permitted to travel 10km from their homes .

- Also from September 23, capacity limits at construction sites will increase to 50% - if, that is, 90 per cent of site workers have received at least one v.ax .

As always, the only reasonable response to all this is to live your lives to the full and do whatever the fuck you want. Oh - and on the off chance that you're not already - maybe start plotting a revolution.

2021-09-01 03:44:21 Police issue a Firearms Prohibition Order to a Sydney man, allowing them to conduct a search of his property or vehicle for no reason and at any time. Such an order can be issued to anyone deemed "unsuitable" to hold a firearm, regardless of whether they have any interest in doing so. We can expect that this oh-so-convenient legal mechanism will increasingly be used by police to conduct programs of targeted harassment against dissenters.
