Description:
Reports To: Head of Support & Implementation

(Only For Information Technology, computer science, software engineering or related field)

Minimum of 3 YEARS Experience working on PL/SQL, SQL development (Advantageous with Financial Institution Experience)

* The Support Engineer is responsible for providing high-quality technical support for the Bankers realm suite of products providing solutions to both technical and non-technical end users

* Participating in the Core banking and Microfinance implementation as required in a team effort

*Taking ownership of technical issues, and working with our Development team to resolve more advanced issues when necessary

* Participation in providing training to customers and other engineers as required

* Resolving escalated customer complaints without the need for team lead intervention

* Respond to partner and customer enquiries through email and telephone.

* Inform client functionality requests or software change requests to development team.

* Oversee and follow-up on open customer issues assigned in the Project Management System.

* Documenting troubleshooting and problem resolution steps in the Project Management System

* Develop customer relationships through professional, dependable and accurate interactions.
* Travel to customer sites for high profile issue resolution.

* Escalate issues as per Service Level Agreement.

Qualifications

*Educated to Degree Level, In Information technology, computer science, software engineering or related Discipline.

* Deep understanding of Database administration, PLSQL, script writing and debugging

* Understanding of Microfinance/Retail Banking operations from a credit , Financial , risk or System Perspective

* Ability to work under pressure and on Multiple tasks concurrently

* Effective in Written and Verbal communication in English
