Morphological Features -
shrub can grow up to 60 cm high.
The body of this plant is saprophytic and represent xerophytic character.
Leaves are small and connate at the base.
Chemical constituents -
It Contains Ephedrine, Nor- Ephedrine, n Methyl Ephedrine, Pseudoephedrine.
Also Contains Amino Alkaloids.
Geographical Source - It is mainly found in India, Nepal, China ,Turkey, Pakistan and Bhutan.
Uses - anti- inflammatory, anticancer, antibacterial, antioxidant & antiviral. They also have diuretic activity. Used to treat allergies nasal congestion and respiratory tract conditions such as bronchospasm, asthma, and bronchitis. @FuturePharmacist
