Today is Good Friday, a solemn day in which we remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. As we reflect on the events leading up to his crucifixion, we cannot ignore the role that the first century Jews played in His death. They shouted, "Crucify him!" and said, "His blood be on us and on our children" (Matthew 27:25).

While we may feel discomfort or even anger towards those words, we must also remember that Jesus died for all of us, including those who called for his crucifixion. He forgave them and us, demonstrating the unconditional love and mercy that he embodied.

On this Good Friday, let us meditate on the incredible sacrifice that Jesus made for us and the message of forgiveness that he taught us. May we also be inspired to extend that forgiveness and love to those who may have wronged us, just as Jesus did for those who wronged him.
