Expect a famine or some other happening to come about in the next decade that will effect rural America almost exclusively. The concept of remote work has inadvertently destroyed their dream of highly surveiled Cyberpunk megacities by giving people the opportunity to live out in the sticks and still be able to make a middle class salary. That's a level of freedom they simply cannot allow to continue, and as such will try to destroy it. They will also come after the concept of homesteading and homeschooling under the auspices of "fighting White supremacy" and will likely try and make key aspects of both completely illegal. This will not work though, their policies barely work in large and centralized urban areas where everyone is almost constantly in range of one surveillance device or another, extending that out into the hinterlands while still expecting the same level of total control is a fool's errand, but one that they will try to engage in out of desperation. Form communities, get to know your neighbors, make plans, and network. Movements start at the ground level, and historically, successful right wing movements begin in the rural areas and eventually spread out into the country at large. That's where we are, and without community organization, that's all we will ever be at. It's not glamorous or flashy, but it is necessary, moreso than almost anything we will do in the long run.
