When you plant a small plant , if it does not grow well, you don't blame the plant. You look for reasons it is no doing well. It may need fertilizer, or more water, or less sun. You never blame the plant.
Yet, if we have problems with our friends or family, we blame the other person. But if we know how to take care of them, the relation will grow well, like the plant. Blaming has no positive effect at all, nor does trying to persuade using reason and argument. That is my experience.
No blame, no reasoning, no argument, just understanding. If you understand, and you show that you can love, and the situation will change.

The Best Seed

There once was a farmer who grew the most excellent wheat.

Every season he won the award for the best wheat in his county.

A wise woman came to him to ask him about his success.

He told her that the key was sharing his best seed with his neighbors so they could plant the seed as well.

The wise woman asked, "How can you share your best wheat seed with your neighbors when they compete with you every year?"

"That's simple," the farmer replied.

"The wind spreads the pollen from everyone's wheat and carries it from field to field.

"If my neighbors grew inferior wheat, cross-pollination would degrade everyone's wheat, including mine.

"If I need to grow the best wheat, I must help my neighbors grow the best wheat as well."
