How the upcoming Telegram Stories works and its features
The @tginfo team analyzed Telegram User Interface information and got a rough idea of how the new Stories feature will work:
• According to the current data, initially only premium users will be able to post Stories. Later, regular members will also be able to post Stories.
• It is possible to record from both the rear and front cameras at the same time.
• It is possible to mention another user ( @username ) when posting stories. A notification will be sent to the mentioned user.
• Unfinished stories can be saved as drafts.
• Text caption can be added when posting Stories.
• We can decide how long Stories should last. Premium users get a special self-destruction facility .
• Stories can be archived and retrieved from the archives file.
• After posting Stories, you can pin them on your profile.
• Stories can include custom emojis. A button will appear to save an emoji pack.
• Stories can be re-edited after posting.
• The number of stories that can be posted in 24 hours is limited.
• A list shows who viewed Stories. It will be removed within 24 hours of posting the story.
• There is a facility to prevent others from downloading, taking screenshots and screen recordings of our Stories.
• For Stories: Close friend list, public, contact only privacy options are provided. If you post to the category "Close friends", it will be notified to the users of that category.
• Stories can be replied to personally. It is also possible to prevent others from replying to Stories.
• Stories can be forwarded.
• Just like a normal photo, Stories can be zoomed to the screen size.
• Notification can be turned on to know about new Stories. The Telegram app itself suggests turning on notifications for the Stories of five users you regularly view.
All of this information is based on data from the Translation Stage, so some of this information may change before the Stories feature is officially released.
