GoI has cleared entire GST Compensation to States due till 31s | Avinash Srivastava

GoI has cleared entire GST Compensation to States due till 31st May, 2022. Post GST implementation w.e.f. 1st July, 2017, year vise GST Compensation was being paid to States. This provision was effective for 5 Years. Including the additional assistance in 2020-21 & 2021-22 due to Covid -19 on back-to-back basis, whopping ₹8.22 lakh crore has been released to States till now. GST Compensation was for 5 years only & it is different from SGST which have been released to States on monthly basis.
