The EU Delegation to Uzbekistan is seeking an intern to assist in Political, Press and Information section, with a focus on online and social media. The internship should last up to 6 months, starting in April, 2021

Required Education and skills:
• Student of 3 or 4 years in international relations, communications, social sciences, foreign languages, business, law or a related field.
• Fluent English, excellent Uzbek and Russian
• Excellent writing skills and ability to search for information online
• Working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Internet and Facebook
• Knowledge of social media – Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
• Ability to work with graphics editors (e.g. PhotoShop) is an asset
• Previous experience with organizing events and public diplomacy is an asset
• Citizenship of Uzbekistan, EU member states or pre-accession states
• No more than 1 year of work experience

Note:
• Internship must be obligatory for obtaining the Diploma and will have to be confirmed by the institution.

• Candidates who have already worked for an EU institution (as trainees, contractual agents, interim staff, temporary agents etc.) are not eligible
• Family members or relatives of employees of the EU Delegation are not eligible

Expected tasks:
• Contribution to political and economic reporting
• Creation of content for Delegation’s Facebook page: facebook.com/eudeluzb
• Brainstorming and planning content update with other colleagues
• Ad-hoc research in Uzbek and Russian, with summary of results drafted in English
• Review and editing of material in Uzbek
• Administrative support with events organized by the Delegation
• Attending and photographing events and reporting back, when requested
• Other tasks set by the Head of Section or Press and Information Officer

Please note that this internship is not paid. No contractual relations will be established under the internship and it will not result in a position being offered at the Delegation.
For applications from EU member states, the requirement of Uzbek language knowledge is waived. EU member state interns, however, must have adequate insurance and medical coverage before the start of internship.
