Google accused of racismA lawsuit has been filed in federal court in San Jose, California, against Google, which is accused of systematic racial bias against black employees. The suit says the search giant assigns African-Americans to lower-level jobs, pays them less and denies them opportunities for advancement.The plaintiff, seeking class action status, claims that Google maintains a "racially biased corporate culture" by favoring white males.
As a result, only 4.4 percent of employees are black, and 3 percent of management and technicians are black.
