Russian hackers attacked NATO and several armies in Eastern Europe. The hackers used newly created Gmail accounts in the attacks, with fishing emails sent to emails not owned by Google.
Google claims that a Russian-based hacker group called Coldriver, also called Calisto, carried out attacks targeting the armed forces of several Eastern European countries as well as the NATO Center of Excellence.
