Apple, Google and Microsoft are switching to password-free authentication

Apple, Google and Microsoft will introduce a single standard of authorization without passwords in 2023.

Users of smartphones, tablets and laptops will be able to access them using Touch-ID, Face-ID or PINs.

Google's website explains in detail how authentication will take place. To log in to the app on your smartphone, simply unlock it - the account no longer needs a password.

Your smartphone will store your FIDO data, which is used to unlock your online account.
