We’ve launched app update v2.11.2 for TraceTogether yesterday. With this update, Google no longer requires the “Location” permission for the TraceTogether app to access your phone’s Bluetooth.

After updating, the app will seek your confirmation to use the “See nearby devices” permission.

Please accept this request so that TraceTogether can continue to function normally. You can verify in your app setting that “Location” permission has been removed and not in use.
