This year has taught me to never force a connection, to never beg someone to stay,
To never ask someone to give me what I do deserve,
To never settle for less than I deserve,
To never stay in a place where respect is not served,
To never believe that love is enough to stay in a relationship or friendship,
This year has taught me that it’s important to be selfish sometimes,
To be kind but still can say no,
To love, to give and care but learn when to let go,
I’ve learned that being happy is a choice and I have to choose it everyday...
