Fun fact: The director of "Obi Wan-Kenobi" was inspired by Todd Phillips' "Joker" when creating the series

At a recent conference, Deborah Chow, one of the project's writers, clarified that the team was trying to strike a balance between a somber tone and keeping the hope coming from the character himself:

"It's a different tone, but kind of like 'Joker' and 'Logan,' where you take one character from a big franchise and then you really have time and you go far and wide with him, much deeper revealing him. So I thought it was very exciting to do that in this franchise."

Chow also praised the technology of "Mandalorian" and noted that "Rogue One" served as a major source for preserving the visuals and atmosphere of the time.
