National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) announced 'Gaon Gaon' Scheme that provides a 50% discount on .IN/.भारत domains,valid till May 14, 2021.The scheme is open to all Indians residing in villages who want to buy a domain for their business or any other purpose.
NIXI - is a non-profit Company incorporated under Section 25 of the India Companies Act, 1956 with an objective of facilitating improved internet services in the country. It was registered on 19 June 2003.
Government of India has authorized NIXI as .IN Registry, since January 2005. Now .IN domain names are available to anyone on first-come-first-served basis.
It also provides allocation and registration services of Internet Protocol addresses (IPv4 & IPv6) and Autonomous System numbers to its Affiliates.
