#ExamAdvice This(the gist of it) is what I tell my students all the time. Stages of reading one passage: 1. Read ( try to understand without any dictionary) 2. Read ( with a dictionary and learn all the necessary words you didn't know) 3. Read ( to enjoy, revise words) + after this stage - retell the passage(improves speaking) 4. Read ( to enjoy, revise words) + after this stage - write a summary(improves writing and other cognitive skills) 5. Read ( to enjoy+ speedreading)
Yes, this may seem and it actually is a difficult task to do. But if you read 2/3 passages in this way every day for about 2/3 months, you will notice huge improvements in your General English level.
