It doesn't really matter how many paragraphs we write in a task 2 essay. Some prefer a 4-paragraph structure while others think that 5 paragraphs are far better. In fact, the score doesn't depend on that. What we should concentrate on is vocabulary that we use in essays. Phrasal verbs, for example, are NOT recommended in IELTS Writing. Well, there are several exceptions, like MAKE UP or LEVEL OFF, but the majority of phrasal verbs should be replaced by more academic words or collocations. @ieltsboyko
