Some people think new teachers and doctors should work in rural areas for a few years, but others think they should be free to choose where they work.

Some hold the view that newly graduated teachers and medical practitioners should go to rural parts of their country to work for a few years while others feel that they should have freedom of choice when it comes to choosing a workplace. In this essay, I will discuss both viewpoints and give my own opinion.

There are two main reasons why some think it is a bad idea to have new teachers and doctors work in rural areas. If these people are assigned to rural parts of their country, it might have a negative effect on young people. Seeing new teachers and doctors being forced to work, albeit for a few years, in the countryside, high school graduates may grow reluctant to pursue these careers. Furthermore, restricting their rights to choose where to work may even lead new teachers and doctors to quit their jobs. This is because they might have chosen these career paths to work at particular schools and hospitals.

However, I believe that new teachers and doctors should work in schools and hospitals located in the country for a few years. One reason is that people living in the countryside may enjoy high-quality education and good health care. More often than not, experienced professionals work in urban areas, meaning that there are not enough medical workers and teachers in the countryside. If newly graduated teachers and doctors are made to work there, local people will have a chance of getting a good education and medical care. Another reason is these young graduates are often inexperienced, and by working there for a few years, they may gain enough experience and confidence. As a result, they may be able to easily land a job when they return back.

To conclude, although making new teachers and doctors work in rural areas might have negative consequences, it may be beneficial for both local people and the professionals themselves. Therefore, I am of the opinion that they should be sent to rural area to work.
