The bar chart ranks ten countries according to their production and consumption of energy in 2014.

Overall, China and the USA were by far the biggest producers and consumers of electricity, whereas Korea public was the country with the least figure. It is also clear that almost all countries produced more energy than they consumed, with the exception of Germany whose figure for the consumption of electricity exceeded that of the production.

In detail, China was seen to have secured the top of the list with just over 5.300 billion kWh of the production and consumption rate of electricity in 2014. The second largest producer and consumer of electricity was the USA, generating 4,099 billion kWh and using 3,866 billion kWh. Russia was also able to register moderately high figure of 1,057 for production and 1,038 for consumption, one third of those of China and the USA.

In terms of the other countries, Japan and India were observed to have moderate figures of around 900 billion kWh for production and 800 billion kWh for consumption respectively, slightly less than those of Russia. The countries whose figures were similar to each other were Canada, France, Brazil and Germany, at about 500 and 400 billion kWh. The country with the lowest documented figure was Korea Republic which produced 485.1 billion kWh and consumed 449.5 billion kWh.
