2020-10-04 01:45:50 For IITC Button users: If you were among those who received the wrong update, you may have experienced the disabling of all plugins and the inability to enable them. Unfortunately, the update was not tested enough to work with old user data.

Please don't worry and don't delete the extension: all your data is safe.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to go back to the previous version, but the corrected update will be published within a few days.

From the main, the new version of IITC Button integrates standard IITC-CE plugins and your third-party plugins, so you will like the update =)

UP: Fixed version is already available in Firefox Add-ons and Chrome Web Store.

This prompted agent @tehstone to create the 'Ingress Drone Path' IITC plugin which provides a variety of map overlays to assist in planning Drone routes.

This plugin draws a 500 meter circle around the selected portal and draws all Level 16 S2 grid cells through which that circle passes. All portals within these cells are highlighted. Additionally the plugin highlights portals that would be a one-way jump from the selected portal.

Additional tools to create and save routes are planned.

You can download this plugin from the GitHub repository.

2020-02-14 15:02:01 I Love Free Software Day

The I Love Free Software Day was initiated by the Free Software Foundation Europe to thank all free software developers. As IITC is open source as well, lots of developers around the world have contributed to our project. We'd like to thank everyone who contributed: You help us build an even better IITC every day. If you are interested in helping us as well, please check our GitHub repository.

We also invite you to record a short video (no longer than a minute) about why you use IITC-CE and how this tool helps you when playing Ingress (or even Pokemon Go).
It would be great if it was recorded in the background of your local landmark and in your native language (but then please duplicate the text in English).

Please send your videos to our telegram chat.

Now you can help your friends by translating IITC into your language!
Go to the service https://weblate.iitc.app, there you can already localize the interface IITC Mobile and IITC Button.
And, yes, the domain of IITC-CE website has now been changed to a simple https://iitc.app

2020-01-17 14:33:19 Hello. I'm modos189, founder of IITC-CE, and today we're going to talk about money.

I've always been uncomfortable asking for money. Especially in our IITC project, to which other developers contribute a lot (many thanks to them for this).

But yesterday I bought a more powerful server to run localization system, which I already tested in closed mode. That's when I decided that it was time to write this post.

For me it is not a big burden to pay for server, but there are a lot of plans to develop IITC and over time the costs will only increase. I could stay at this stage, but it's better to ask for your support to step further and make IITC even better together.

In 2018, I spent $68 on server rent, $25 on the possibility of publishing IITC-Button in the Chrome Web Store, and about $25 on advertising (but not very well). In 2019, I intend to spend at least $138 on server rent and about $20 to buy a beautiful separate domain for IITC.

With your support, everything will work out. https://iitc.modos189.ru/donate.html

2020-01-04 12:05:47 #IntelMap

NianticBrian posted on the Ingress community:

We just pushed an update to Intel Map to address the issue where some portals, COMM messages, or Regional Scores weren't loading. Please note you may still see an occasional 502 error message, and we're continuing to investigate further. If you're still seeing an issue where some portals aren't loading, please let me know. Thank you

After recent changes in authorization form, a disallowed_useragent error occurred in the third-party iOS version of IITC-CE. This issue was fixed in IITC-CE Mobile in the last version, but not yet fixed in the iOS version, there is a temporary workaround: change useragent is settings. 2019-08-21 00:23:41 Some agents criticize the current Aurora Glyph Hack Challenge due to the complexity of hacked portals accounting. This prompted agent @mrDinckleman, author of first-saturday.cf (interactive statistics for FS participants), to create the 'Aurora' IITC plugin that allows you to manually mark hacked portals.

The 'Aurora' plugin shows hacked portals on the map and synchronizes data between multiple devices. Check the boxes corresponding to the glyph sequences that you have successfully hacked. The portal color changes from red to green depending on the number of sequences.

You can download this plugin from the GitHub repository, which the author plans to update for the following Niantic events.
