2022-08-31 05:44:50 I still can't believe there are those among us who have the ability to stay home and homeschool their children, yet choose to 'give up' when it gets challenging. A lot of parents aren't prepared for the realities of this lifestyle. The sheer magnitude of snacks needed , multiple children needing you at the same time- think- a butt needs wiped, an algebra question needs answered, a glass of milk just spilled everywhere and UPS is here for a delivery). So what? Deal with it.

There will be days that aren't perfect. Sitting under the apple tree while reading autumn themed poetry with fresh baked Einkorn sourdough scones while the kids learn to knit is lovely, but rare. Homeschool life is not an Instagram story. Homeschool life means that sticky rice on the floor spilled by your 4 year old, smushed by the foot of your 2.5 year old- might happen sometimes! The laundry might not get folded sometimes. The math might get skipped one day

Especially when you have a baby in the house, or when you are new to homeschooling, it can seem challenging. It is especially challenging when you don't have a tribe nearby and you feel alone.

You will eventually find your rhythm. Do not speak with people who respond to your concerns by encouraging you to quit. When it's tough, talk to a seasoned homeschool mom or a friend/ family member who supports your decision to homeschool.

Sending your kids to public school is weak and pathetic. You know damn well they'll learn about or watch or even become addicted to porn at a young age. They will be taught gender dysphoria. They will be indocrinated with antiwhite hate for themselves, their ancestors, and you- their parents.

It doesn't matter how "good" you *think* the school is, or how good the teacher seems. It does not matter how confident you are that you'll be able to counter the narratives in your own home and arm your kids with the truth in hopes that the indoctrination will bounce off. It has been perfected over decades, and the peer pressure is immense.

When you have a bad day, take the kids for a nature walk. Do a free form art project. Let them play in the mud. Read stories or do some "mad libs". That's also school.

Another thing- to all of these parents attempting to mimic public school in their home for young children, that will most likely fail. 5 year olds were never meant to sit at a desk for hours. They are meant to sing their ABC's, dress in costumes and act out stories, build sand castles, count and glue pasta, and learn to write their name and address.

We also recommend not overloading with extra curricular activities. (If you can help it) You don't have to go to EVERY homeschool field trip.

Outsource tutoring if you need it.

Find a playgroup, or start one of your own.

These years, while our kids are young, are precious. They truly do 'fly' by. No matter how imperfect your homeschool may be, it's 100 times better than sending them to the slaughterhouse of public school, and if you are red pilled and folkish, it is your DUTY to protect your children by schooling them at home, regardless of how difficult it seems at first.

Here was a body of men with no official power, no formal sovereignty, and yet the Roman state always consulted them and all but did as they said. The Romans called this auctoritas, and our word is almost the same. When Gaddafi was told by the American state department to step down as de facto monarch over Libya, he replied simply that there was no office to step down from. And yet, no one would think that Gaddafi was not effectively sovereign over Libya. Power need not carry a title, and a title alone does not impart power.

It's also worth noting in relation to Rome, that the revolution that toppled the Republic came only after someone figured out that they could openly defy the senate. All the Ciceros in the world clamouring about "our democracy" could not stop it, because at the end of the day, history is not moved by ideas or institutions, still less by words, but by men and their deeds.

2022-08-26 15:00:08 Pelosi's visit was a diplomatic L, the US is losing its grip on Asia.

Because the Pelosi visit to Taiwan occurred during the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Cambodia, the group was able to quickly release a statement to “reiterate ASEAN Member States’ support for their respective One-China Policy.” Taiwan went entirely unmentioned.

Many ASEAN members also released individual statements, none of which supported Taiwan’s plight. For example, Indonesia called on all parties “to refrain from provocative actions,” adding that it continued to “respect the One China policy.” Singapore hoped “the U.S. and China can work out a modus vivendi, exercise self-restraint and refrain from actions that will further escalate tensions.” Vietnam, a fast-emerging key regional partner of the United States, hewed closely to its past statements, noting, “Vietnam persists in implementing the ‘One China’ principle and hopes relevant parties exercise restraint, refrain from escalating the situation in the Taiwan Strait, and actively contribute to the maintenance of peace and stability.” Malaysia and Thailand made similar statements that refrained from supporting Taiwan.

Across the rest of South Asia, there was no sign of support for Taiwan, only China. Beijing’s “iron brother” Pakistan, for example, spouted Chinese talking points on the importance of “non-interference in internal affairs” of sovereign nations—well-worn code for letting China decide on its plans for Taiwan. Bangladesh, Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka similarly upheld Beijing’s rights in the crisis.

2022-08-23 14:56:26 Let's be clear: IP has no dog in the Russia-Ukraine fight, nor any particular love for Eurasianism.

The broader point—that Dugin's daughter was a target because of her father's ideas—is what you should be taking away from this. What we do in this sphere matters. We're engaged in no less of a world-historical struggle than Russia, and probably more, because for better or worse, the centre of gravity of the whole world resides in the English speaking West. All of you here, doing this, supporting our guys—it all matters.

2022-08-23 14:42:23 Darya Dugina, the daughter of Alexander Dugin, was recently killed in a state-sponsored terrorist attack.

This attack was carried out purely on the basis of her father's anti-liberal ideas. It is an enormous testament to the power of the written word and the motivating force of anti-liberal ideas that the most powerful empire in world history would need to carry out an attack such as this in an attempt to shut her father up.

In life, she was a patriot and an activist, a writer and a philosopher. In death, may she never be forgotten as a martyr for traditionalist ideas. Open / Comment
