Order is based on an array of petitions that challenged MANDATORY use of #Aadhaar cards which assign a unique 12-digit ID to every citizen. Aadhaar database links iris scans and fingerprints to >130 Billion people
"It is a watershed moment. Whatever the state decides will be checked and tested on that basis. The powers of the state are curtailed to some extent" said S.Poovayya, a petitioner in case.

F**K yes, "PRIVACY" is a FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT now. SHOUTED in the face of this GOVT, LEGALLY.
This will change EVERYTHING about so called 'DIGITAL INDIA'
Now 5- judge bench of SC will test validity of the AADHAR 'SCAM' on the touchstone of privacy as a fundamental right.
Yes we dare call #AADHAR a SURVEILLANCE scam with no DATA PROTECTION and PRIVACY laws in place in India and thus allowing 'almost' open-loot of Data (Including biometrics, yes) of 130 crore people and their PROFILING

This EXPOSES AADHAR lies and coercion of this current Govt, peddled in MEDIA & ILLEGAL orders issued by it and state governments, as regards AADHAR and other DATABASE seedings, without any fear and mind to security & privacy of data of World's largest Biometric Database
Every CITIZEN of INDIA, with even basic sense in understanding of fundamental rights SHOULD KNOW that this #SHAMELESS INDIAN Govt is fighting in court/s with its battery of "HIGHLY PAID" lawyers, to make INDIA a complete #SURVEILLANCE & #TOTALITARIAN state, in the garb of providing 'streamlined' subsidies to poor (who are actually getting DENIED their rations, etc in larger numbers post-AADHAR), for which AADHAR was started 7 yrs back.
This Order will also help in FIGHTING another draconian "DNA PROFILING BILL, 2017" which literally says that DNA of an individual can be PROFILED without CONSENT
