Google has unveiled technology that ups the resolution of images up to 16 times without losing quality.
The technology is based on diffusion models. A low-resolution picture is sent to the input, and the neural network tries to increase it by adding noise.
The model is trained in image distortion techniques, and then reverses the entire process, gradually removing noise to achieve the declared result.
