Malta is a picturesque island state lying in the Mediterranean Sea, 93 km from Sicily and 300 km from Tunisia.
It occupies an island archipelago consisting of three inhabited islands – Malta, Gozo and Kamino, as well as small islands and rock formations.
The capital of the Republic of Malta — Valletta is one of the first cities in Europe built according to a preliminary plan. Valletta belongs to a small number of well-preserved fortress cities.
