Nærøyfjord #Norway
Nærøyfjord is an exceptionally picturesque place. This fjord is considered the smallest and narrowest fjord (only 300 meters wide). It is included in the UNESCO list and is an "arm" of the Sognefjord, the longest fjord in all of Europe.
It may seem that a fjord is a wide mountain river or an elongated lake, but in fact it is a bay with steep cliffs that can be more than two hundred kilometers long.
The Norwegian fjords turned out to be due to the fact that during the ice age the glacier began to slide towards the sea and scratched long, deep gorges under its weight, which were later filled with seawater.
