UAE , Dubai, Sheikh Zayed Street
Sheikh Zayed Road is the main and longest street of the Emirate of Dubai, its length is 55 kilometers. Being part of the largest highway E11, Sheikh Zayed Street starts from the border with Abu Dhabi, runs along the coast through the whole city, and ends near Sheikh Rashid Road.
A trip along the Sheikh Zayed Highway is included in the mandatory program of most travel guides to the UAE and is very popular among tourists, because along it there are numerous towers and shopping malls in Dubai, as well as luxury hotels and residential neighborhoods.
Until 1990, the street did not have an official name, it was popularly called the "Dubai — Abu Dhabi Road". After reconstruction in the 90s of the twentieth century, the road was significantly expanded (up to 12 lanes). At the same time, the highway was named after the first president of the UAE, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
