iOS & iPadOS 15 Beta Release Notes

New Features & Changes:
• Personal hotspot indicator becomes green, where in previous iOS versions, the indicator is blue
• There’s a new “background sounds” feature found in accessibility, where it is used to mask unwanted environmental noise, helping you to focus.
• iPod Touch and iPads now have Low Power Mode.

New Issues:
• If you have tabs opened in safari before upgrade, safari will sort your tab in the ascending order based on tab opened time, yet create your new tabs at the oldest tab you opened
• Safari is a bit buggy editing lists in macrumours
• If you have paid iCloud storage, your private relay is on, but account setting might still display a purchase option of the lowest tier. Restarting your device can fix it
• AirPods audio gets randomly cut off or stutter badly during listening to music or watching video
• Music app composed smart artwork is broken.
• Closing the Messages app and opening shows some contacts briefly as numbers.
• Weather notifications for “My Location” keeps getting disabled.

Remaining Issues:
• Some websites freeze randomly during browsing if safari is not active for a brief moment. This issue existed back in iOS 14.6.

Podcasts:
• Subscription support for channels and individual shows.

AirTag and Find My:
• Lost mode option to add an email address instead of a phone number for AirTag and Find My network accessories
AirTag will show the partially masked phone number of the owner when tapped with an NFC-capable device.

Accessibility:
• Voice Control users can unlock their iPhone for the first time after a restart using only their voice.
