What's the difference between the examples below 1. He has been to Paris before. 2. A: Where is Ben? B: He has gone to Paris.
"Have/has been to..." means the person went there, and came back; so it's finished now. It's past experience. Whereas, "have/has gone to..." means the person went there, and is still there.
