𝘽𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙝. 𝘿𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙩?
“I wish there were more hours of the day....the days feel so short”
We’ve all had this feeling. The feeling of not having “enough time”. The feeling of wanting to do so much but unfortunately the day ended and you did nothing. Zero. Nada. It makes no sense tho...Allah gave us 24 hours every day (minus the hours you sleep) to get things done and yet we feel like it’s not enough?
Whenever a day flies by, my mom always says “There’s no barakah with our time”. I once asked her what she meant by it and she said;
“𝘼𝙣 𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙨 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙖 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙪𝙩𝙚. 10 𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙖𝙣 𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙧. 𝘼 𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙞𝙨 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙖 𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙠 𝙤𝙛 𝙖𝙣 𝙚𝙮𝙚”
We’re constantly fighting a battle, a war, between us and time. And oftentimes it feels as if time is winning... but the thing is that we can’t let time win. And HOW DO WE DO THAT? Well, we need to ask Allah to put barakah in our time. We’re not asking him for more hours but rather that the countless hours don’t turn into minutes. We’re asking for quality instead of quantity. Isn’t that what we all should want?
