An electric car from a former Tesla employee traveled 836 km on a single charge

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has registered a new range record for electric vehicles - Lucid Air in the Dream Edition Range was able to travel 520 miles (about 836 kilometers) on a single charge.

This impressive result was achieved due to the low coefficient of air resistance (0.21) and special components of the power drive of our own design - inverters based on silicon carbide and a 900-volt battery with a capacity of 113 kilowatt-hours with a BMS control system, created using racing technologies. The output of the power plant is 946 horsepower.

Lucid founder Peter Rawlinson says this is purely technology, not huge batteries. Previously, he worked as an engineer at Tesla and took part in the creation of the longest-range Model S - its range is 396 miles (about 637.3 km).
