Ivanhoe College in Ashby won't drop name despite 'awkward' connotations

Named after the Walter Scott novel of the same name, the school shares its Ivanhoe link with several other aspects of Ashby, notably the former Ivanhoe Line that ran from Burton to Leicester and the Ivanhoe Runners club. A walking route, called the Ivanhoe Way, also exists in the area.
