The Declaration of Independence was a PEACEFUL action.

The Americans did not start the war. The British did.

What the Americans did was articulate their beliefs (grounded in the Bible) & how the British were oppressive, dismissive, and purposefully contrary to the truth of God's self-evident laws.

In this sense, the Americans signed & sent Notice to the British of their intentions to be equals - in war, adversaries, in peace, friends - and then they faithfully yielded the results to God.

God, because He is good and faithful to His people, blessed the Founders through their tribulation & wars and rumors of wars, and established a great Nation that unequivocally is grounded on the truth of the Bible & the obedience of Christians.

This is a version of history you either were taught or has been attacked.

America is a Christian nation. Its Founders were unashamedly Christian. And they behaved like it.

Which included following God and the way to lovingly separate from evil.

The war happened AFTER the Founders obeyed.
