Individuals can do nothing to improve the environment. Only governments and large companies can make a difference. What extent do you agree or disagree?

Some people say that individuals incapable to do anything for the environmental improvement. Large companies and businesses are only factors that can make a shift. I would argue that this statement is completely true.

First of all, big companies may have some benefits for environment. However, those also have negative effects which could outweigh positive ones. Businesses and large companies might have adverse effects on environment by wasting their litters in oceans and rivers. This can lead to serious problems, for example water pollution. In my opinion, large companies can have potential dangers that are greater than benefits we receive.

On the other hand, people could bring more advantages to our surroundings. If community would have citizens who are owners of self-control and courtesy, there would be no garbage in the streets, which causes pollution. Moreover, people can make better environment, tack possible problems by organizing community projects which are related to reforming our ecosystem. Young generation should be engaged in such useful activities. Simple example of this, clean streets from rubbish and things that can pollute the air by gathering crowd.

To conclude, large companies are not only factors that could make a change. People are able to improve ecosystem by organizing society projects in an attempt to make improvement on our environment.
