Topic: People will read e-books rather than traditional books in the future.
To what extent do you agree or disagre?
It is important to consider whether individuals will read printed books or opt for e-books in the long run. While I accept that newspaper and books will still hold the most vital position among readers, I wholeheartedly believe that people will opt to read online as it is free of charge and provides the latest news immediately.
There are several practical reasons why majority of people think that people would want to read printed books. Firstly, Although traditional books cost much more than digital ones, they have no an adverse impact on inhabitants' health as digital do, such as eye problem. The more people read in front of the screen, the more likely they are to lose their eyes. Furthermore, there are some people in society who want to accumulate the books that they read before in their own library at home so that their children can read by making use of them to acquire more knowledge. By contrast, if individuals gather the books that they read online, they might remove them if their gadget memory has lack of space. For example, Studies have shown that eye-related problems are stemming from when people read online.
Having said this, I would still side with those who think that as the technologies are becoming prevelant in our lives, in the long term, people will aslo read news with the help of social networking sites. This is because, the overwhelming majority of people have a portable devices, such as mobile phone and laptop, both of which help news readers access huge storage of news immediately. If something happens, even if it is in another corners of the world. Not only do not they waste their time to go markets so as to purchase printed books, but they will aslo be able to save their hard-earned money. Moreover, in terms of deliviring information fast, traditional books are not widely regarded as the online does the best.
In conclusion, Although newspapers would be considered as the most crucial source of information in the future, it seems to me that It will not outweigh as more and more people are being drawn to use of internet to gain more knowledge nowadays.
