So, I am good at math but maybe not so good as a reporter. But | LadyDraza

So, I am good at math but maybe not so good as a reporter. But, I have been reading the chat and there were requests for my summary. Just to set expectations...I am not an "insider" and I don't know what is going on behind a lot of the scenes, but I can share what I know.
I was accepted as a cyber person to the conference. I was hoping to be in a room with others, verifying code.
When I got there, I was asked to help build a "mock election" system with some amazing guys that I had not met before. Now, this request came at around 10pm on Monday evening. Along with the help of a brilliant lady who helped with some coding who was not present, we configured and coded up a "mock election" system to show the steps in the process and how easy a vector for attack was. We demonstrated the system and hacked it right in front of people - 3ft away. When we counted the ballots and they matched the database number that people had just seen the numbers changed to by a "hacker", they knew it wasn't right and we told them it was certified. One lady broke down in tears (I felt so bad!) but the understanding was good. In between, I was meeting with people from different states on how I could provide my evaluations to support their audit reports.
So, I was not in the rooms where the code was being evaluated. I do not know what was given to be evaluated and I never saw it at the Symposium. I was asked to go on stage twice to discuss the math I see in the vote counts and to talk about the "mock election" room.
So - my experience was not what I expected and I didn't provide any updates because I honestly was probably seeing less of what others were talking about and was waiting to see what would happen rather than say what I "thought" was going on and have told everyone something false or incomplete.
