What one can do during Summer to have better looking portfolio by the time one will apply in October/December? (except common app stuff and SAT)
1. Write articles/reports and have them published/evaluated.
2. Find a job and work during summer (mb related to your possible major?)
(teaching or at least logistics?)
3. Take an internship (also related to major, if possible)
4. Learning new skills
(cooking, coding, new language, cubic-rubik, modeling)
5. Taking online/offline courses and actually finish them, better with certificate (if you apply, they'll give, you just have to wait a bit)
(edX, Coursera, Udemy, Skillbox)
This comes as a bitter regret from my last year. I had big projects I should've worked on but because of not planning, didn't execute any.
Additionally, note that studying SAT/IELTS for long hours will mess everything up. Especially if you get lower score in August.
Last but not least, I would like to discourage all of you from MUNs. I myself love MUNs, even organizing one more soon. However, regardless of its usefulness, I am telling you, this will take a lot more time than you think. It's inconsistent and EVERY guy applying to the US from our region will have that in his application.
I wish I didn't write all above here since I don't want a lot of new competitors you know . But. I love my followers and I want to help them even if I don't get accepted.
Also, the posts are becoming rare later because I am having another competition, this time the most expected one. I am training full time. I will update on my own application once I return to Tashkent.
