2021-06-16 14:55:30 *The Concept of Lepton Quantum Number in Physics*

What are Leptons?
In physics, leptons are the elementary particles that have a half-integer spin and do not participate in any strong interaction. Since they are elementary particles, they aren't composed of any smaller particles. There are six leptons in the standard model.

Lepton Number
Each of these leptons is assigned a lepton number L = 1. The lepton number of their antimatter counterparts is -1.
L= 1
• electron
• muon
• tau
• electron neutrino
• muon neutrino
• tau neutrino

L = -1
• positron
• antimuon
• antitau
• anti electron neutrino
• anti muon neutrino
• anti tau neutrino

Lepton Number
Lepton number must be conserved in particle interactions. This means the number of leptons/antileptons before and after a particle interaction must be the same. It was introduced in 1953 to explain why we don't see a particular type of particle interaction. Let's look at an example of lepton number conservation.

An example
v⁻ + p → n + e⁺ which is
anti neutrino (-1) + proton (0) → neutron (0) + proton (-1) and it is a correct equation
___________________
v⁻ + m → p + e⁻ which is
anti neutrino (-1) + neutron (0) → proton (0) + electron (-1) and it is an incorrect equation

What Else?
Besides the lepton quantum number, there are three more quantum numbers that are absolutely conserved in particle interactions
• Electric charge
• Baryon number
• Weak isospin

2021-06-16 14:54:51 -> Real gravity Map on earth.

Earth's gravity measured by NASA GRACE mission, showing deviations from the theoretical gravity of an idealized, smooth Earth, the so-called Earth ellipsoid. Red shows the areas where gravity is stronger than the smooth, standard value, and blue reveals areas where gravity is weaker.

2021-06-15 14:05:49 TIPLER CYLINDER - Tipler showed in his 1974 paper, "Rotating Cylinders and the Possibility of Global Causality Violation" that in a spacetimecontaining a massive, infinitely long cylinderwhich was spinning along its longitudinal axis, the cylinder should create a frame-dragging effect. This frame-dragging effect warps spacetime in such a way that the light cones of objects in the cylinder's proximity become tilted, so that part of the light cone then points backwards along the time axis on a space-time diagram. Therefore, a spacecraft accelerating sufficiently in the appropriate direction can travel backwards through time along a closed timelike curve.

Kaluza–Klein theory (KK theory) is a classical unified field theory of gravitationand electromagnetism built around the idea of a fifth dimension beyond the common 4D of space and time and considered an important precursor to string theory. Gunnar Nordström had an earlier, similar idea. But in that case, a fifth component was added to the electromagnetic vector potential, representing the Newtonian gravitational potential, and writing the Maxwell equations in five dimensions.
