In 2016 (before Trump), Mercer University President Bill Underwood supported free speech and promoted the marketplace of ideas.

Maybe he should tell us whether his understanding of the First Amendment has changed and if so, why and when?

If his understanding of free speech remains the same, then President Underwood should play this interview for Mercer Law School Dean Cathy Cox at the meeting in which he fires her.

One is not qualified to lead a law school if they do not understand the right and value of free speech.

Also not a good idea to have a law school dean who places the university at risk of a major defamation lawsuit by a significant benefactor of the school.
