As I reflect, as I often do, on why my life changed so dramatically after August of 2018 and more so after November 3, 2020, I am mindful of the life of Jesus Christ, the perfect Son of God.

Every word Jesus spoke was absolute TRUTH.

Every act He performed was a miracle.

He walked on water. He gave sight to the blind. He walked among and healed the lepors. He raised the dead. He performed more miracles than there existed parchment to record them.

But when the crowd was whipped into a frenzy by the lies of the political forces who were threatened by Him and His followers, they forgot about the body of His life’s work in the flesh. The crowds who had been propagandized against Him by the lies, demanded His death by crucifixion. They killed in the flesh the Son of God.

What they did to Jesus Christ, they will try to do to the imperfect children of God.

And being imperfect, what they do to us pales in comparison to what they did to Him. What we suffer for following Him is nothing compared to what He suffered and sacrificed for us. He suffered the most brutal death in the history of mankind in earth.

He suffered it all to save us.

So we take up our cross and follow Him.

He gave us everything.

He only expects our best efforts from us to live as He lived. He knows we are imperfect.

He does not expect more from us and He does not deserve less.

So we press on.

Time for rest.
