The Count Zeppelin over the Cathedral of Ulm, 1930. The 'Coun | LOST HISTORY

The Count Zeppelin over the Cathedral of Ulm, 1930.

The "Count Zeppelin" is now much less well known than the later airship "Hindenburg", but in its time it was undoubtedly the most famous airship in the world. Built in 1928, the vehicle operated for 9 years as a passenger airship, took part in many, "hyped" by the press events, of which the most high-profile was the circumnavigation of the globe, for nearly 600 flights carried 13,000 passengers.

After the death of the Hindenburg, the operation of the airship was discontinued, and during the Second World War, the Graf Zeppelin was dismantled for parts.
