Humans have a tremendous capacity for good, but human nature is fallen. The American experiment was remarkable because it idealized and instantiated a limited government that would enable the advancement of liberty, freedom, and equality. It became a beacon of light to lovers of liberty around the world. That is all but gone in reality. But the ideal lives on in the hearts and minds of many good people who fight still to retain it.
