Sri Govindeshwara and Nageshwara temples, Koravangala.
Visited Sri Bucheshwara temple in Korvangala last weekend. The experience was so good; perfect weather, no crowd. We had the temple to ourselves. The happiness didn't last long as our eyes sighted this abandoned temple right opposite this majestic temple. It was so disheartening to see the plight of the temple. According to the inscriptions, those temples are Govindeshwara and Nageshwara temples built by Govinda and Naka, the elder brothers of Buchiraja.
The temples are being used by people for the wrongful deeds. We could find liquor bottles, playing cards, used water bottles, smoked cigarettes and even condoms. As ardent fans and admirers of Hoysala architecture, it was heart-wrenching to see the works of great artists abused and not respected.
