Russian oil exports shift to AsiaAt the beginning of the year, most of Russia's oil was going to Europe: almost 2 million barrels per day
(further in the text: a million barrels per day = mbd) of the total 3 and a little mbd (the rest - just over 1 mbd - went to Asia)
Now exports to Europe are down to about 1.5 mbd, and exports to Asia are close to 2 mbd
What's interesting: first, total exports grew, despite all the sanctions and restrictions (and prices went up too!). Secondly, in May and June a new miraculous export destination appeared - "unknown". And there is a suspicion that as exports to Europe fall, exports to the unknown will increase...
